It appears to me Deacon thata you have a more than general curiosity ,are you planning a purchase or business venture with EVERYONE ? SAI,FFR,SPF,KRKM,EVERYONE ?
I believe if I had comrades who had invested money in ,and were awaiting and questioning the build of a new car,I would reassure and help,as opposed to ridicule and question.

Deacon,

I for one understand where you're coming from on this.... For the people with 10K on the line for these cars from SA, I hope it works out.. I'm sure even with all the reassurances given, there have been some sleepless nights...

Guy,I don't think anyone knows the answers to your questions but I think they're legitimate questions... You ask questions and everybodys running around with their head cut off and piling on...

RESPECT, RESPECT, RESPECT....

That's how the year started... What is this, the 3rd already??and
Ron's gonna pull the plug because..... WHY???

As far as older dated threads.... I didn't know there was a time limit on them...

Respectfully yours,

al

Just for the record: I for one sleep soundly 'cause I believe about 1% of what I read about this particular topic-- mostly posted by people with no money down, or have some axe to grind, or have no real knowledge but no shortage of opinions-- and I know who to call when I have questions.

Having tried both forums and the telephone, I highly recommend the telephone!

Ron, can you get me the phone # to the Dominos in Athens, GA?;)

LURK 01-03-2004 06:49 AM

Dammit that's what Google is for man! :)

Of course, Dominos isn't REAL pizza.. but... don't wanna start anything.

Al... never said the plug was being pulled... just predicting that action on this thread may not be necessary.

Guy apparently wants to know inside info on his ex-employer's business. Why? I don't really know.

He posted his questions in the Mfg's forum...OK.

Either they get answered or they don't.

The CAV conversation has been beaten to death. We all should stand by until some sort of fact is made available.

That's all.

Hey Guys...

I think Karl has something there, because the rest think I know something that I don't, and others think I am just trying to stir it up. MT, I guess you did answer the questions as far as you are concerned, because you admit you don't know anything, and that is cool, thanks. Yes, there is no agenda here, as hard as that is for some to believe, which by the way I can understand because it would probably be expected of a former employee to want to stir things up with an agenda in mind. In this case that would be a no! I think I can say this because I have not posted anything on this site for 6 months or more since leaving Shelby, and If I wanted to "stir-it-up" or had some agenda, I am sure I would have done so immediately after leaving Shelby...DON"T YOU THINK?

Anyhow, I am sure something will be found wrong with this response as well, so have at it....

Deacon,

I believe the problems you bring upon yourself is your failure to ask anything relevant. Inuendoes don't cut it here. Then again, I fail to see why anyone at SAI would answers your questions here. If you have something to post, do it under the All Talk Cobra banner, certainly not here, as SAI has already shown they are not taking you seriously, neither am I at this point in time, and I've read through every thread, and every post you have made to date. I'll tell you the same thing I told Dan S. It's time to let it go...........

I'm no expert but.. if SAI is not making glass cars in Las Vegas any more and they intended to give all that business to CAV and then I find out that CAV has sold all their manufacturing equipment and then they sold their factory.. I'd be worried about my deposit. An I missing something here?

Nope... I think you've successfully passed on, again, all the internet rumors that sprouted up and were addressed almost 2 months ago.

Have anything new to add?

djseed, Yeah, I think you have missed something.

The actual FACTS!

All we have to date is rumor and inuendo and those that love to promote the same.

This thread is a classic example or "rumor mongering". Examples: One could conclude, if so inclined, that FFR and SPF are working some kind of "deal" with SAI.

That Kirkham is in some kind of "trouble". Now there is one WILD rumor, yet, some will believe!

So what if the CAV building/holdings has changed ownership? IF indeed it even has. I would not assume from that that manufacturing of the SAI cars has ground to a halt!

The BEST rumors contain a portion of truth, designed to mislead. Out and out lies are to easy to discern, they don't make good rumors.

Rather than ask a clear cut question, "suggesting" there might be a problem here or there is much more effective. That way you can later state, "I never said that. It wasn't me that started the fire." And the author of such rumors would be correct! It was those who let their imagination run wild that started the fire!

I have no hidden agenda, nor do I have a stake in Kirkham or SAI. But I DO have a responsibility to the community to identify "rumors" when I see them!

Guy had asked a question, saw the results and conceded he has his answer.

That should wrap it up.

Let's not start another one, otay?

Rumors and inuendo aside..

If the people who have money on deposit for these cars were offered the option to back out of the deal and get their money back, how many would take the offer?

How many of those who would opt for the return of the deposit would buy the Kirkham offered at the 40K price?
