SAAC@Vegas; Shelby Open House
Brent
The SAAC event was great, and the Open House even more so. Thanks for opening the doors...the Shelby staff was everywhere, shaking hands and talking to everyone. The S. African cars look great, and it was nice seeing the museum back in order. The BBQ was certainly better than those darn hotdogs we had last time.
BTW, who is this old guy? Kept walking around bugging people. Wouldn't leave me alone until I let him take his picture with me. I gave him a few bucks...looked like he could use it.
Thanks again Brent.

Maybe if the "old guy" shaved, we'd be able to figure out who he is.... or.... what a great cut and paste job...can't even tell you weren't there. Maybe we could start something new.."Where In The World Is Jamo?"

You damn pic geek, leave my pics alone!
Morgan
Assolutely a small world.
Hotfingrs
You, being a fellow certifiable butthead like yours' truly, are gonna love this story. During the Monterey Historics, they had a Ford parade lap...we all got to go out and raise a tiny bit of hell. But they warned us...NO BURNOUTS! As we waited to leave the track through a single file gate, a few Cobras in front of me did some panzy-assed chirps. I'm between the Flag Room grandstand and the Shelby trailer, on top of which are da Shelby guys (Patterson et al)...egging me on. So, da wifey says go for it. I do a big one...lots of tire smoke. As I finally pull off the track, one of the Norcal SAAC guys tells me it's time for me to leave, which, I figured, is fair enough. My work there was done.
Turns out RedCSX1 (Morgan) was in charge of the parade lap, and made the call on the radio to have the guys Semkoize (ban) my ass.
Also turns out that Morgan rides bikes with my law partner, but we had never met nor made the Laguna Seca connection before SAAC-Vegas.
What a strange little world we live in.

Gasholes take the lead
Seems like the Gasholes take the lead in celebrity photo ops and burnouts.
Damn Crankoids, all we get to do is set FTD
BTW, Which one is Jamo?

I know Rog...it must be tough knowing how much fun we have. If you want, you can hire me as a consultant.
I know it's tough to recognize me, but ol Shel said no to a butt crack shot.

You know it's only a couple more miles to Elkhart Lake from Vegas, would be great to have the big showdown between "Clubs". Bring along Bill Malone, my former neighbor from NJ and the Bus driver and we might just have a good ol'e time. You guys could make fun of us out on the track and we can laugh at you guys "under the table"

Assactly...you guys could drive a few more and meet us in Vegas or even Willow Springs. I'm sure you could all use some sun.
We need to do this. Bach party for JM? Vegas IS the place to do it. The hell with the damn cars.

Thanks Guys,
I wish I coulod have spent more time with you guys, I got a littlke buried with CS and the gang as you could see but do not wish to use it as an excuse. I hope yoy enjoyed the weekend as much as I did!
I was not able to take any laps myself but enjoyed watching it all shake out from the pits (once again I understand how CS felt watching the team attempt to destroy company property back in the 60's).
What do you guys think of the S1? All we have to do is put a Cobra body on it and look out, here we come.
Thanks again for showing up!!!

Before you put a cobra body on a golf cart....
Brent there better be a F1 Red Cobra body on the frame of CSX4766 Again it was a great time. We certainly need to do this event more often, but even bigger next time. Maybe if we tell everyone that the GASHOLES will be there then we will get a bigger turn out of Cobra owners
