Question Shelby Sa.....????

Just wondering if anyone has taken delivery yet of one of the SA Cobras. CSX4758 has been painted and is in assembly right now with expected delivery within the next few weeks. The forum over on CSXinfo.net and the Shelby Owners Forum is like a Ghost town. Any ideas as to what's up? I think some don't want to post over here for one reason or another. I like it here! This is where my family is. Even though my new car has a CSX number to me it's just another replica. I had the chance to take delivery in a few months rather that a year waiting on another ERA. For me I just decided I could not wait a year for a car and made the plunge. Just wondering if anyone else is getting closer to delivery as I know several were built in Las Vegas while waiting on the SA cars. Bad news is they can't seem to come up with the stainless sidepipes and headers so I guess I'll do something else.

Gary

As far as csxinfo goes, it is a personal site that was created and is maintained by a employee of SA only and has nothing to do with Shelby American Inc.
You won't find any speculation or innuendos on what "might be" in the future over there.
It is however, a great resource for some building details and the history of CSX cars built in the 60's.

It aint "just another" replica if it has a CSX number, it's a SHELBY. MY replica don't have a CSX number. Wanna trade?

Is there possibly some confusion here between www.csxinfo.net site (an excellent, personal site) and the Shelby Owners' Forum over at www.shelbyautos.com ?

The forum has been quiet for awhile as Shelby digs out from the South Africa start up and a parts delay- frankly rather have them busy with cars than a forum anyway (well... at least MY car!)

Last time I talked to Gary Patterson (late Janary or so) he told me that I *might* see my car (4780) sometime in late summer. So, no big hurry for me. Hell, Nimby still doesn't have my engine assembled yet....I'm starting to feel like Turk! (Just kiddin George!)

Default 4766 here and also still waiting

I put a call into Brent this morning, betting that he will not call me back.

Gary Patterson has been the only one who has done any communication on the status of the cars. He reported on the owners site that four Cobras are close to being picked up by the owners. Brent stated that mine will be ready at the end of April, will see if that happens.

Planning to dyno the 427 on Friday. Hoepfully it will be a Good Friday in more ways than one.
