Any thoughts on the value of being a member of the SAAC if you don't have a genuine CSX?



I understand they print a number of newsletters etc.

I've not found the SAAC membership terribly useful or interesting, although I don't attend the events and maybe that's where the value is. The newsletter is infrequent (maybe 6X annually) and is mostly classifieds, few of which appear to be unique.

I re-upped for another year, but not exactly sure why.

The value of the SAAC membership are the events that are held each year. Plus the fact that you have access to a large network of people, i.e. equipment, parts, dealers, etc. You should also enjoy a greater access to Shelby itself. but of that I am not sure about in the last year or so.. Seems that Shelby has been busy with quite a bit, perhaps too much...who knows. I think the results will be good at some point..
