CSX4766 is ready for pick up
Well I am heading over to Vegas Monday 30th to pick up CSX 4766. Just wondering, Is there anything tah I should do to the Cobra before I drop in the 427. Some people have told me to seal the fire wall real well and install a fresh air duct system to the interior, any other tips?
Thank,
Morgan

PARTY IN FRESNO!
Thanks for the invitation Morgan, I'll try and make it if I can!
I've already called them "Girly Men" any tips what else I can say?
Many years ago I used to live up in the mountains above Fresno, at Shaver Lake. My family leased & ran Shaver Lodge for several years.
I do get to Fresno occasionally on business, one of our factories is at Corcoran Prison.

Morgan,
Congratulations.
Remember to bring a camera and have someone take lots of pictures of you around the car at pick-up time!
Something you will definitely reflect and look back on later, especially if you keep the car for a while. Good Luck.

Thanks, Just completed the car this week
It took Shelby 11 months to finish my Cobra Roller. I started working on the Cobra in October and completed it this week. Took the first drive in it yesterday in a drizzle of rain with my Father. Here is a picture of him standing next to 4766 as we fine tune it tonight.

Vegas built car
Morgans car was one of the last Vegas built cars.
The wait time for the current production cars from HST has been long. I have been waiting for over one year.
Good luck!

jdog,
I am sorry to hear that you have waited over a year for your CSX4795, especially since i am CSX4819. Do you have any indication when your car will be finished? When do you think I will have mine? Con

CWCobra,
I see that you live in NY. Who is building your car? Bill Andrews? We will be looking forward to seeing you.

CW,
I see you have posted all over the site looking for info on wait times for the Shelby 4700 series. I'm going to assume you found this site AFTER you purchased. There have been many threads on Shelby cars and the wait times. Do a search on Shelby, 4000, HST and CAV. I looked at the Shelby when they first offered the cars. At that time, they were advertising 4 month delivery. It is a little disappointing that HRE didn't explain their past delivery problems to you before you purchased.

Con, I see that you have my old ordered car. You asked in another thread about my experiance with Shelby. In a nutshell, I got sick of all the lies and delays. It's a big mess. I suggest you read through the thread entitled "Shelby" in the All Cobra Talk forum.
As for Billy and HRE, Billy is a great guy. But he does not believe any of what he's being told by "us" people. He refuses to believe anything written on the internet, and that includes what's being said by Shelby on the owners site. I truely hope that Billy's attitude about it does not bite him in the ass in the end. He's a great guy and doesn't deserve to get caught up in a Shelby sh*tstorm.
Good luck getting your car, and when you do get it, be sure to post some pics, I'd love to see them. Also notice I said "when" not "if" you get your car. I'm trying to be optimisitic here .

Hey guys!
Just following your posts. I will receive my csx # on monday and am excited, but somewhat nervous about the current situation at HST. My Shelby dealer has let me know that the current wait time is now approx 11 months. The wait time doesn't bother me so much as long as I get the car. I have been reassured by shelby that production has slowed slightly, but things are looking positive. I'm a happy guy!
Morgan, It's great to see that you have worked with you're dad on your car. I also have the same plan. He's just as excited as me about it.
Any of you who have new csx 4000 cars, don't hesitate to post a bunch of pics.
Cheers, hinds

Why don't you go to the Shelby Forum
That would be the best place to get the information you are looking for.

14 months and counting!
I ordered CSX4795 in Nov 03, still have no idea when I might get my car! They have been asking for my 2nd deposit for months now.
If I really did not think that I will eventually get a car, I would have folded this hand a while ago. We are just going to play this through with my rules, from here on out!
I plan to visit the HST plant in the near future, and see my car for myself, before any more $$$ changes hands!
One of the added frustration factors is the whole sb100 registration process. You need to have your car ready by Jan or you will miss your chance and a coveted sb100 # for another whole year!
jdog
P.S. Good luck CW! Morgan, you've really got me 'Jones'n' for your car, (Damn, that's Hot!)
