Aluminum 427 Cobra Price

As you guys know, I have been asking a lot of questions about a couple different mfg Cobra's details.

It has occured to me that the final price of a Shelby Aluminum car with an aluminum 427 and a few options can be much higher that I had expected, it seems it can reach $140,000 +

Is this correct?

$120,000-130,000 very easily. Depending how much work you are doing.

Is the resale market strong on the aluminum Cobras, in your opinion? Are Cobra buyers spending money on classic cars instead of buying Cobras due to the great increase in classic car prices?

Rsimoes.....If your looking for an aluminum bodied Cobra, though the Shelby is too pricey, than take a look at the Kirkham. Compare the two, and figure out what you want to spend. If you consider a fiberglass body, than your options increase with all the other builders such as SPF, ERA, FFR, etc.

I would like to start with a new car build with my specifications, which are:

427 Cobra, blue (tbd exact shade) with white stripes
Aluminum 427 with cold air box and one 4 bbl carb (500+ ft-lbs of torque with at least 500 HP)
aluminum suspension, if available
Limited slip differential
Brakes - OEM vs Baer or Wilwood
Wheel well protection
Heat Shield
AC pedals
original 427 emblems, steering wheel, etc
Original Smiths gauges set (not Autometer replicas)
Straight stripes, two single, thick stripes (not tapered)
2 Chrome outside rear view mirror
Rectangular center mirror
Fresh air system
heater
Large letter Goodyear tires on OEM style 15 inch wheels
4 point seatbelts on both sides like, but not connected to roll bar
old style rollbar without crossover bar
Correct steering wheel size and finish
6 blade functional pusher fans and thermostatically operated cooling fan mounted on the back of the raditor (add switch for pusher fans, for shows)
Oil cooler
Batteries behind the seat, like original
Jethot exhaust
aluminum hood scoop (I heard some were fiberglass)
Round tail lights if possible (same as front turn signals, but red)
Floor mats/truck mat
3M clear bra on the front of the rear fenders

And a few other items to be decided. . .

Count on $90,000-$100,000 for this combo. My friend just finished his Kirkham and it's very close to what you want. I am finishing mine up and I can tell you there is no cheap way to do it.

Be prepared to pay about $130,000 or more depending on who you contract with to do the work. I know that is what the fellow that I got my car from had in it. I'm not saying it's not worth it, it will be an amazing car. You'll want to keep it for a while with that type of investment.
