Today feels right!
If things went well yesterday afternoon, then today is the day. Tom wanted to start & adjust things before I see it running. Yesterday at noon, as I was leaving, he was putting gas in the tank, but he wouldn't start it until I left.
I will know this morning. But I believe all is well!
He will video the start-up episode, film @ 11:00!

Wow!!!
Well, it's running, & running strong!
I would have the car now, except the clutch master cylinder is not working. A new one is on it's way, but I don't know if it will arrive by Friday.
But, it sounds GREAT!!!
jdog
P.S. Thanks for stopping by Jim, it was good to see you again. Your car is very cool!

Goosebumps
Jdog,
How sweet it is! My timing today was perfect. I could hear that big FE snarling as I pulled up to the shop this afternoon. What a sweet sound! I had goosebumps even before I walked inside. Your grin when you looked up, was priceless. You're probably still grinning I'll bet.
The installation is clean as a whistle. Nice going Tom.
Congrats Jdog. We're happy for you.
NorCal Cobras, soon to have a new member.

Jerome,
When you get it on the road and out of the shop, reply here. Maybe we can get a group of us NORCAL folks to meet and Tom at a local place for a quick ice cream after work one day or something. This has even become a big deal for the rest of us to see you get your car now.
Also, there seems to be a whole new batch of NORCAL folks too who've never met yet. Let us know.

Jdog,
let me know when you get everything working. I would love to take a drive up there and see it. I hear Kmarccoco lives by you. Maybe we can all get together and go for a drive.

Not yet
She is still up on jack stands, we can't get the clutch master cylinder working. Getting a new master cylinder may turn out to be a little more difficult than I thought. Seems Shelby has only one source, and they are "back ordered"!
jdog
P.S. Having patience is something I'm getting quite a lesson in!
Anybody have a spare clutch master cylinder?

So get one from another source...I think my Kirkham uses a 0.7 inch Tilton. It would Kill me to have to wait for a part like that....but then you've developed quite a pain tolerance by now .
Seriously, if it isn't a sin, I bet you could source one with the same bolt pattern and displacement rather quickly.
Just a thought.

Tilton or Wilwood should have what you need.

Jdog,
I have a Girling 313310 7/8" (casting info), box says Meritor PJH104. Let me know if you need it, I would just want it replaced with the same thing.

Jdog,
Did you check the clutch line for blockage? Are you getting fluid throughout the system?

Morgan,
I'm pretty sure Tom said that he had checked the lines, but I'll ask him tomorrow anyway!
How's your car running? That new engine should be well broken in by now.

We are looking!
Thanks, I will be checking with each of those sources tomorrow.
Allan, if we can't find one I might have to take you up on your offer. Your to kind! I would replace it ASAP. I will be in the South Bay area(Hayward), next monday & tuesday, maybe I could pick it up then? But, hopefully we can find one tomorrow.
You bet Duane, and I'll buy!
Yeah, this has turned into something of a Crusade!
Thanks guys, this is what I love about this place.
jdog
P.S. I can only speculate that I'm paying off some serious Karma debt!
