Tom doesn't need the help!
My transmission is here. And so is a beautiful black expansion tank from Gessford.
The engine install will begin one week from today!

Jdog,
I know you will be at the shop when Tom lights off the engine for the first time in its new home. Yoohoo!
Give us a holler when it gets close. Maybe some of us locals can make it down to the shop for the event... if you want company, that is. You know we love this kind of stuff. I get goosebumps at the thought.
Keep us posted.

Open house/shop!
I have the following week off from work and plan to spend a "little" time over there each day.
That is a great idea Jim. I will post updates every day and take a few pictures.
This is an open invitation to anyone in the area to drop by and take a look.
jdog
P.S. I'll be the one pushing the broom around the shop, & taking pictures like Dennis Hopper in Apocalypse Now!

So, what's the date, or did I miss it?

Next week!
The engine will go in tomorrow.
We probably won't start it up until next week.
I will post the date as soon as I know!
If you go by Tom's place, you can see the progress.
jdog
P.S. The 2 to 3 week wait, for the creamic coating on the side pipes & headers, was too much to bare. So we're painting them black for now.
I figure that I can take them off this winter and send them in.

Engine is in!
Well Tom's got the engine in, but there's still a lot of work to do. We might be ready to fire it up by Friday!

Making good progress
It was a pleasure to meet you Maurice, your car is really beautiful, and that engine sounds awsome! I can hardly wait to get out there for a cruise with you guy's!
Yes Kris, I believe so. Thank you very much!
Doug, they still haven't received the order from DMV for your plates. I'll let you know, when I hear they've been made.

Jdog, you should shoot a video of it starting up and post it on that web site yourspace.com, so that all of us can see and hear it!

Likewise on meeting you Jerome.
Looks to be a beautiful car, and it will be well worth the wait in just a few more days.

Not until Monday
We aren't ready to start it up tomorrow. Won't be until Monday or Tuesday.
I should know tomorrow afternoon if we will be starting it on Monday. I'll post tomorrow.
I don't know about a video, but I will sure take some photo's. I don't have a digital video camera.
Anybody have a digital video camera? I wouldn't know how to upload a video from my old 8mm.
jdog
P.S. Thanks for all of the support everybody, I only hope to become one of you!

A stickler!
Yeah, Tom's a bit of a stickler for the detail!
It just takes time to do it right, & Tom's sure not one for "cutting corners"!
It was good to see you there today Ken, I'll take you up on the offer for a ride!
I glad your car is finally dialed-in.
As you could see, we won't be starting it on Monday. Possibly Tuesday, but more likely Wed.
I'll post an update on Monday.
jdog
P.S. It is making very good progress, but a couple of items took a little more time than we thought it would. Fitting the headers was a b*tch!
