Two days now...sent email and left two phone messages with SAI Vegas(Gary Patterson) expressing interest in acquiring an aluminum unit...no response.

You didn't use the proper Shelby message form.
It's green w/dead president on one side. Those will always get attention!

P.S. Forget Gary, call George @ Gessford!

Agreed. Call George. The dealer can get you all the info you need and George will give you the straight poop.

Rob,

Jamo has a valid point, one stop shopping. He is a full service dealer and a competent engine builder. If the distance is a concern, rest easy, he takes lots of pictures and posts them on his site. He may also have a special bonus for you if you need to sort the car.
But, that is up to him to disclose/offer.
Good luck with whatever you choose.

Look up straight shooter in the dictionary and you will see George's picture. Just the best guy to deal with regardless of the size of the purchase.

Spoke with George Anderson. My mind's made up. I'll place an order for an alloy CSX through him. I'm adding a codicil to my will to spell out what to do if I die of old age while waiting for delivery of the car from SAI.

Good for you, Rob!

I think you're going to be real happy with Jorge and the arruminum CSX. He carries the Gasholes stamp of approval.

Rob, I guess your trip to Dallas solidified it?? Great choice. I'll be the caretaker for the SAI should anything happen.

Yea, for an older guy, I'm feeling like a kid at Xmas, only this is my hard-earned money at work here...there is no Santa Claus. James, I'm gonna call you...you have a fantastic one-off alloy Shelby in the works in Dallas...you will not have a problem selling it if that's your final decision...please put some miles on it before doing so...at my age I'm just too old school and want the total experience of being first title holder, visiting the factory, and being able to say, like the Great One, "I Did It My Way."

Please note the updated last line on my "signature" below, which has changed from what it was before (although I'm still a 'wannabe' because I won't be in a car for awhile).

Wow - I didn't realize the wait was that rediculous. I would say, "Do what I did" Buy a used one. Put what you need to into it to make it "yours" and still be ahead of the game.

Default Shelby CSX 4381

Now in paint stage in Nevada...Navy Blue with Wimbledon White LeMans stripes. It's been five months since I first placed the order. I'm pleased so far.

Shelby American advises the car is done. Now it goes to George Anderson at Gessford for the motor and a couple of other items. Less than one year with Shelby...not bad. I'm gonna have to sell another car to make room for this one..and to keep my marriage intact.
