Default hydraulic slave cylinder / throw out bearing

Thanks chanmadd,
the bleed line for the throw out bearing is on top. It just won't gavity bleed the way it is supposed to. I have to let the whole thing sit for a while because I am trying to get ready to move so I will not be able to play with ity for a while.

Default Dooooh! found why the motor was Locked up

Okay - a local cobra guru (Chris Dawkins) came up and helped me tear into my cobra. It turns out I was using a truck bell housing that bound the clucth as it was tightened down. Pull the tranny - it is all free. Pull the bell housing and the motor turns. With the inspection plate off the bottom of the bell housing I could see it bound up. Chris is going to hook me up with a real cobra bell housing.

The clutch master cylinder also turned out to be clogged and in need of a rebuild (even though it was brand new / never used). The key was that I was getting fluid to it but not gravity feeding out of it to the slave.

Hopefully when I get done moving and get to start thrashing on the cobra again it will not take long before it is running.

Default Had to replace the master cylinder

After getting the old master cylinder back from my cobra guy, it still would not push or flow fluid. He came up and spent a couple of house fussing with it, taking it out, taking it apart, checking its function, putting it in, checking it, taking it out........ We finally gave up and I ordered a new cnc steel 3/4" master from left hander chassis to replace the aluminum afco that came with the car. We will see how it works out. It moves some fuid, but I am not sure if it is enough. I can not get the clutch to disengage the tranny with from the motor with the tranny in gear and the clutch in. It may be that the clutch disc has stuck to the flywheel (as I found out it had when I replaced the bell housing with this trick scatter shield I got from Bruce at Modern Driveline. I have tried to start the beast with no success but that I think is a topic for the next thread I need to start.
