Default CSX 7000 Fans

Looks like a nice CSX 7000 for sale in the coming weeks.

http://www.russoandsteele.com/collec...obra/7140.html

My guess $90k out the door.

I would say plastic.
...using my favorite photo-'litmus' test for modern CSX cars, to tell if it is alloy or 'glas:

-no side-curtain door ferrules
...almost always means 'glas, unless it was highly-detailed by the owner.
The aluminum cars will always have them. (well. almost always. :-)

The glass cars front fenders are almost parallel with the ground, the alum cars in the FIA do not look as good IMHO.

I've not seen that tire trick yet - they say "Goodyear" on the outside sidewalls, but "Hoosier" on the insides. Two different sets of tires, or does someone own a really nice stencil?

767,

Man do you have an eye for detail, I would have never picked that up. I will be at the auction to verify.

Or maybe the pictures were taken at different times

That's what I was thinking, either the guy has two different sets of tires or a really nicely done Goodyear stencil. I'm guessing that the pictures were taken at different times with different tires on the car. If it's a stencil job, there would be a hell of a market for the guy who did the work.
