CSX9000 Aluminum Bodied Daytona Coupe?
When I was looking at the press release for the Shelby Edition GT-40, I noticed a mention of CSX9000. I wondered if it was a typo or not so I did a search and found this...

Probably will be sourcing from KMS as the first round cars will fetch booku $$$$$$, later KMS will probably supply the cars.

No, it looks like the Brock/Shelby/SPF Coupe, but done in aluminum.
I'm sure the KMS Coupes will be exact replicas. The Shelby folks would be smarter to source a Coupe from the Kirkhams.

Shelby sources their aluminum CSX4000's from Kirkham, so I imagine that they'll source the Coupe too. I think the polished Kirkham Coupe roller was in the neighborhood of $125,000-$130,000, so I would tack on another $20,000 for a roller Shelby Coupe, maybe less without the polished aluminum.

Yes, but the CSX4000 chassis and aluminum body sourced from the Kirkhams is only very, very, very slightly different than the Kirkham chassis and aluminum body. The differences between the two cars are mainly all of the other sourced components and the presence or absence of paint.
The CSX9000 body looks like a Brock Coupe, not a like an original Daytona. I'd say that SPF has to be involved, but the aluminum body may be sourced from another company, which could possibly be the Kirkhams, but there are other sources of aluminum bodies, if SPF is not capable of making their own.

The pics on the web is a brock "Glass" car. SPF does not service metal bodies, no doubt the KMS pics going round will be the first CSX9000 cars.

Actually, the Aluminum CSX9000 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe is built by the Superformance Factory using Aluminum Bodies produced in England!!
How COOL is that!
The very first ones (CSX9001 and 9011) will be shipped soon!

Brooklands has the skill to do this body, quite properly, and drop it on SPF innards.
They also buy stuff from KMS from time to time and do a wonderful job.
Hard to guess.

So much for accuracy
I think Shelby is making a big mistake!
He should have teamed up with McCluskey and Brock to produce more of the McCluskey coupes as the CSX9000 vehicles. Guess I'll just have to follow the Kirkham boys to see their finished project.

I remember that there were going to be a limited number of McCluskey built coupes. Has the limited number been reached yet?

SPF or it's PARENT company HiTech in South Africa doing the build? If the alloy body really is sourced from England the end user price has got to be horrific.
Very doubtful KMS would be involved with this for various reasons.

The key question for here is will both the Shelby 9000 and the KMS be in the registry and who's will be called "real"? Has that been worked out already?

I guess so. KMP products have a section in the new Registry, as does all CSX continuation cars.
Up until now, there has been Registry data kept on CSX4000,7000 and 8000...so as the CSX9000 series rolls out, that too should be listed.

1ntCobra......
Not sure about how many coupes McCluskey has built to date? I also remember that he was going to do a limited run of what I thought was around 12-15 cars or so. I called him a few years back, and if you had the money, he would consider building you a coupe in the neighborhood of $300K. A little pricey, though a beautiful exact copy of the original. I would have loved to have seen more built at a more affordable price. As for now, I'm sure the Kirkham's have the upper hand, and will do just that!

How many have Kirkham built or plan to build? I thought they were pretty limited edition as well, or have they even built MORE than one at this point?

I don't think Kirkham will be selling coupe's to any other companies for a long time. I ordered #007 and was told it would be 20 months before delivery.
