CSX2317 on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-....c0.m245.l1318
First time available to public since 1972. Was in long term storage for 25 years until 1997. Limited use since then. Featured in Tom Cotters 2007 book "Hemi in the Barn" under title "Divorcee Cobra". Interior redone by McCluskey in 1997 with a change to black (original was tan) due to long term storage and mice. Currently has a top loader in in-original aluminum T-10 comes with car. Car has Bellanger headers and original 5 bolt Cobra scatter shield. Believed to be very rare factory flared car. Car has large pin drive hubs. Have top and side curtains in original condition. Car runs excellent. I will start off auction at high bid when lasted posted on E-Bay in January before I ended early. Check other 289 cars for sale and compare. Serious buyers only...last time I had over 250+ calls and 300 +emails and pulled auction due to being overwhelmed so please...only contact me if serious.

Someone is fishing, again.....Although it is a beautiful car, the last time it was pulled, it was more because of having it's "originality" being put under a microscope. Will be quite interesting to see how high it goes and just what the reserve might actually be.

So my question is ;
What is so completely wrong with this car that it is *NOT* being shown at RM, Bonhams, or Gooding and Co. in Monterey this year >?
an additional couple of days under the hood and the right venue might bring 100K more $.
Really ------ a NAPA oil filter for gods sakes.
if you run the CSX # on google it shows up in someone named brian from the lambo club with a viper and such.

Actually NAPA filters are made by WIX. One of the best on the market.
Anyone know the story behind this car?

Let's just say his original listing touted the car as being "all original" and leave it at that. His emails after the auction about having offers of 1M+ (far more than he could have imagined) also have not come to fruition. As for his new listing, let's just say that his efforts have improved to a C- from a D- and leave it at that for now. Others will chime in with bits and pieces later on............
