Fuel cell size

Are the current standard CSX fuel cells 21, 22 or 23 gallons? I have seen all three in different places. I thought they were 22 gallons, but now I am not sure. Since the fuel sending units aren't great in these cars, it would be nice to know exactly......

I think you'll find the actual can is the bigger size, with the bladder and the foam in there it makes it the smaller capacities.

i beleive they are 23 gal.

I can definitely confirm they are not 21 as I have put in more gas than that (21.5), I just don't know whether I have been within .5 or 1.5 gallons of running out.....be nice to know for sure.

I was told the capacity is 23. My build sheet states 20+ gallon. I have had a similar experience as dcdoug. I put 21.7 gallons into the tank. Of course this was after I ran out of gas using the mechanical fuel pump and was using the electrics to get the last drop. Sure glad my tank was plumbed correctly.

I was told by Finishline in Las Vegas that they were advertised to be 23 gallons but actually held anywhere from two to three gallons less.

Surprising and humorous that there is so much ambiguity over something so straightforward as "How many gallons does my fuel cell hold......?" Maybe someone with an extractor pump wants to confirm?
