Shelby book bought as basis for TV series

Shelby:The Man The Car The Legend is the book. On Jan. 27th,
producers Ridley & Tony Scott made their announcement. It looks like
their take will not be a bio but more a generic look at LeMans racing in '50s & '60s, and a drama, not a documentary approach. One pundit called it "Mad Men on Wheels."

time frame?They got lots of films in the works now...

Rival Wolfgang Petersen ("Das Boot") also announced a TV series on historic LeMans called "Kings of Speed" but his will also include underground car culture of Southern California.

In Petersen's PR release Jan. 23, 2011they mention the book "Twice Around the Clock -- The Yanks at LeMans," by Tim Considine.
