Is this guy doing a TV series a true gearhead?
Found a ref. today that on May 20,2010 William J. MacDonald, the screenwriter, was interviewed on the Adam Carolla show and, under upcoming projects, he mentioned that he and his brother are writing a 10-part mini-series about the Carroll Shelby / Enzo Ferrari rivalry. His latest TV project was a 10-part series called ROME which he pitched to HBO with John Milius, a Hollywood heavyweight. I never heard his name in car circles but hey I can't be everywhere and only recently started to follow upcoming Hollywood news. Anybody have any other details like stars, production start date, producers, etc.?
Ironically I think Adam Carolla could play Shelby. He's tall, and dark haired, and can probably talk Texan...
