Default Shelby in Ferrari 121LM of Tony Parravano

Saw an article on tony parravano's cars in a Ferrari magazine by John Edgar's son (Edgar was a sponsor after Parravano) and it had a picture of Shelby at the wheel of a six cylinder Ferrari, kind of ugly car with three stripes on the hood. I read previously that there was some Ferrari that Shelby was wary of driving until he could have a scattershield welded onto it, I wonder if that was the car? Anyway some writers manage to write about Parravano's racing team like he lived to a ripe old age but some months after Shelby left the Parravano team his sponsor disappeared forever. I wonder if Shelby had an inkling that something was going to happenand wanted to get out of the line of fire. LIke to hear opinion on this instead of the tippe-toe around it like I read in some articles where they are pretending the disappearance didn't happen. For Shelby the Parravano sponsorship was a good gig --lots of cars to choose from in a stable that at one time or another owned something like ten Ferraris and eleven Maseratis.

A beautiful car, precisely assembled. Unfortunately I don't fit. Sold it after four hundred miles. Well, at least now I know a Cobra is not a car I can own.
