Much thanks! How would I go about gaining access to this registry? I assume it's subscription based, like the Ferrari Market Letter? Does it say anything about the price of 2286 in 1975?

"Less than half of $150k" (we'll just say $80k), though beyond a fortune at the time, was certainly a bargain for a Daytona Coupe in late 79, especially because that would only be about $25k more than a good street model 427, and perhaps equal to a comp model.

Ok when I get home I'll post some ads!

BTW the ad I attached from your gallery is for CSX2321 when it was last for sale.
May be ads from 1970 R&T and perhaps 1975 Autoweek.
Did that particular ad lead you purchase it in 86 or did you acquire it later on?

Some place on CC I seen pics of an old ad for one of the coupes. The guy that owned it at one time posted it. I think he was from wy or mt . I think he drove to check on a string of gas stations he owned. I think it was a ad from old car weekly. I for one would like to see any old ads for the coupes.

Where is the thread featuring this ad?

Unfortunately they are rarely advertised and when they are, they're brave enough to mention a price only about 10% of the time. Even in the late 60s, when they were at their absolute lowest, they would always close with "inquire" or "offers invited".

Excellent foresight! In May 87 they would be around $55-60k, and by Christmas $100k.

BTW, ads are coming today for sure.

I spent some time looking here over the weekend with no luck . I don't know the guys name or it would be easy to find the ad. I have done a lot of reading on CC looking for info on the coupes. I need all the info I can get . I am scratch building a pair of coupes.

That's one of my favorites. Though I already have this one it's a great gem from the past.

As I've mentioned before, another coupe would go for either $17 or 18k in August 73, and $25k by 74. This was not mere pocket change. Even then prices were skybound!
