Default Anybody else notice the schnozz change?

Having had my own schnozz bobbed way back when and having painted portraits of Der Snakemeister, it occurs to me every time I see this family portrait of Shelby that his nose is different than later pictures.

I know he rolled a Maserati in Sept. '57 as he was testing for a race at the then new Riverside Raceway. One of the books on Shelby says he was taken to the hospital to have his nose sewn on. His girlfriend saw the nose on a table and fainted dead away. I think they did a good job alignment-wise but it's not the beak it was (Miles claimed that title "The Beak")So i'm betting the family picture was taken before Sept. '57 so if my guess is right all '50s pictures of Shelby have to be divided between New Nose and Old Nose

In the picture The Shelby family in the 1960s included (from left) Carroll Shelby, daughter Sharon, middle son Pat, first wife Jean and oldest son Michael.

I thought for sure you were asking about the ill-advised (and decidedly ugly) rhinoplasty on the AC MkIV. It turned the fearsome visage of the formidable big block (body style) Cobra into an apologetic fish-faced, low waisted shadow of it's former self.
