Shelby Mustang ???

Looking for an expert on the Shelby Mustangs, specifically from 1968. I know there are probably seperate forums for the Shelby Mustang, but thought someone here might know.

A friend is looking into a '68 Shelby Mustang, and wants to try everyway to document if the car is correct. Does anyone know the serial numbers/VINs attatched to these cars? From the research I've done, I believe the Ford VINs that year were 11 digits. But were there additional numbers given to the Shelby Mustangs to identify them?

I'm sure others will check in on this, but, in any case, your friend should contact Vin Liska, the 68 Shelby Registrar at SAAC. He can and will confirm VIN numbers, etc.

Also, CC's very own mrmustang (Bill S.) knows a ton about Shelbys and is a certified MCA judge.
