Default 2 questions...

I'm new to the forum and I posted these two questions in the "ALL COBRA TALK" forum but didn't get answers yet...sorry--I didn't notice this history forum! Here are the two questions:

1. What ever happened tot he 7th coupe? --The one that was mocked-up with plywood to make the prototype first coupe (CSX 2287).

2. After the big legal battle, who finally wound up owning the missing previously-missing CSX 2287?

Your questions were answered in the original thread. Please stop posting the same thing to each and every different sub forum already.

Geez--you're a big meanie! Is everyone here this course and inaccurate (I only made this ONE post after I discovered the history category--and NEITHER question was answered in the "ALL COBRA TALK" category!)?

...I may just fit in here afterall!

Your First what happened post

Your second what happened post

Your third What happened post

If you have specific questions, stick with the original thread you started in all talk Cobra, as this is where the people are currently looking at that post, and that line of questioning (aka: the more traffic a thread has, the better chance you have of finding out the information). Posting a new question (not new, just reasked in a different way) will not get you far, as it dillutes the powerbase of the whole original thread you started....Something about common sense comes to play here.

Finally, as for me being a meanie (just how old are you really), just pointing out the facts from this side of the screen, perhapsd you just don't realize how your posts look to others that are here....................

I guess I just didn't phrase each of my two DIFFERENT questions well enough. Sorry about that.

One question asks about the 7th coupe, the other question asks about the missing 6th original coupe. No duplicate questions--except for this thread. I posted here because this is where the questions belong and because I didn't get an answer yet--I know how threads wind up dieing if they get pushed back too far.

I get the message about duplicating threads, but this is really getting rediculous--lets stop the name calling, OK?

The answer to YOUR question is 38. I'm 38 years old...sir.

C4,not all of us are so terse and your questions are welcome here.I do not have the answer to your questions as I am no csx expert ,however, there are many very well informed people on this forum that can answer most any question and will do so without making you feel like a child. I would not worry about the forum police too much, they are a minority here, just a vocal one. chuck

the answer to the "7th" coupe was explained a month or so in i believe Autoweek. Basically, a man who was an employee of i believe Ford at the time, wrote and told the magazine that he was instructed by higher up's back then to destroy the last coupe, so he had it mashed, and carried off in bits. The details of this are probably in the Autoweek archives, it wasn't long ago.

Autoweek has also followed the saga of the "salt Coupe", and the guy who bought it got to keep it, i don't think Spectre got to keep it, but he has other problems now anyway. I think this too is in the Autoweek archives.

Autoweek, being a weekly magazine, does a pretty current job of keeping abrest of the "fast breaking" sorts of automotive news items, unlike the rest of the magagzines which have several months production delays.
