It might do it one time, then I would be putting it back together.

What motor do you have in it right now?

Mine has the original 326 with the Muncie 4 speed, but I added a little something else to go with it.

Default Just a little 390

It's a 390 which is the same engine family as a 427. It has the same stroke but a smaller bore 4.05" vs. 4.23". It runs pretty good, but I need to rework my exhaust to be less restrictive, it's a long story. The other motor is a real 427, can't wait to get it built.

Your tri-power looks great. Did you have to fiddle with it much?

Chuck

I had to modify it slightly. The original center carb was too big (too much gas) for the 326, they were designed for the 389. Talked to this old guy in Missouri who knows his stuff concerning carbs. He suggested I get a carb from an Olds F-88, which had a 330 motor. The body is the same has the original center carb, so I took the the top and bottom from the original and used them on the body of the 330 carb. Had to trim about 1/2" off the carb body where the main linkage connects so that would line up. Works real well. Probably could use a complete rebuild though.

I saved all the original tripower carb stuff - when this motor finally decides to give it up I would like to find a 389 or 400 for it.
