Default Rich Anderson

Just wanted to let everyone know ...

We are saddened to report that Rich Anderson, owner of Shell Valley Companies, Inc. from 1997 through April 2009, passed away Dec. 13th at age 65 following a courageous 5-month battle with cancer. He was truly an icon in the kit car industry and a friend to everyone he met. He lived each day by his belief in "faith, family and friends." Rest in peace, Rich. We will miss you.

So sorry to hear this.

When the windshield in my CSX got whacked I heard that Rich was the guy. Sure enough, he asked me a few questions about the frame, convinced me that I didn't need it, and sent me the glass and gaskets and a one minute tutorial on disassembly (be positive the screws go back where they came out). The glass arrived a few days later.

Rich was a great guy. Always willing to help and encourage. I always looked forward to seeing him at Run n Gun and at Carlisle during the years that he owned Shell Valley.

Sad to hear. Rich was a great guy and contributed to what SV is today. I only got to spend one day with him, but he was a stand up guy who really enjoyed what he was doing.

Thanks for letting the community know Dana.

My association with Rich was through speaking w/him at his annual Carlisle display. I spent some time as an Expat in the UK and he and I spoke about the marketing he was doing there with the Shell Valley Coupe. Very nice guy. Condolences to the family. 65 is too young!!

The Kit Car world has lost a very generous and caring person. May Rich rest in peace and prayers go out to his family.

Such a loss. Prayers to family and friends. He truly was one of the good guys in our industry. I had the pleasure of doing business with him, racing with and against him and just downright shooting the bull with him. I never once heard him say a bad thing about anything. At least now he is in a much better place than this world has had to offer him over the last few years and all of the sorrow he went through with all of the illness in his family.

God bless Rich and we left here will miss him.

Jay

I will always remember Rich as the gentle giant willing to give you the shirt off his back. I drove from California to Nebraska with a few cobra aficionados for Shell Valleys 35th anniversary. Rich and his gang were a blast to hang out with. He was a huge supporter of this industry, ethical and all around great American! Peace, Respect. Darren

Very sorry to hear about Rich, way to young!!
When I purchased my Kit from SV in 2003 I was given a November 14 delivery date.
The normal delivery truck was not available due to mechanical issues, so RICH ANDERSON loaded my chassis and body on a trailer and filled the back of a pickup with my boxes of parts and drove all night from Nebraska to SLC Utah in order to fulfill the promised delivery date. I was VERY impressed with that level of customer service.
Rest in peace my friend and my sincere condolences to his family!!
Great Guy!!
