Default How to tell about the vin code?

I'm working out a deal with a guy on a shell valley cobra he said it was purchased as a roller kit. The car has 9 miles on it he has only used it for car shows. The car is completely done the only thing he hasn't put in was carpet because he was thinking about doing something different. The thing I have a question about is she'll valley has carpet kits for sale but they say they only fit cars from 2007 to present. Is there away to tell what year the body of the car was produced? Here are some pics and he is wanting to trade my 62 nova for the car

The older Vin tags had Shell Valley Companies, Inc on them. The company was sold in 2009. I'm going to guess and say that is when they started calling them Shell Valley Motors.

He said it was purchased around 12 years ago. I'll call them tomorrow and see if they could tell me.

My serial number tag looks much like yours and says Shell Valley Motors on it. My number is 15418. I bought the kit and picked it up in NE in 1992.

Interesting. I bought mine in 2003. My tag looks completely different than that one. I thought my car was kind of an old one, but I guess it's kind of a new one, Lol. I wonder what the tags say on them now?
