Default Shell Valley - Four Point Belts

Does anyone know a good way to mount four point belts on a Shell Valley? I don't like the look of belts attached to the rollbar. I've been told if you run them directly through the fiberglass behind the seats it puts a lot of stress on the fiberglass. Can anyone suggest a solution? I'd like to see some pictures too.

Thanks,
Lowell

Lowell on mine I have the Simpson Y style and bolted a steel bar between the role bar and got a 1/4" piece af aluminum to run threw and bolted it to the fiberglass then to the bar.I belive the belt should go level with your shoulders or 90' with your spine not more than 3-4" lower.

Ken,

When you say bolted to the roll bar are you refering to above or below the back deck? Does it come through the wall like this:

I saw a rig that was attached to the roll bar above the deck and that's the look I don't like.

Thanks,
Lowell

Default 4 point SV belts

Lowell,

I am using the 4 point SV belts and I bought a pair of polished aluminum bezels for the belts to go through the back interior wall. Then I welded up a upside down U-shaped bracket which stradles the kicked up portion of the frame directly under the kicked up portion of the trunk. I drilled a hole in the bottom of the U and welded a 3/8 inch nut over the hole. Then I lined the upside down U on top of the kicked up portion of the frame until the welded nut was right against the floor of the kicked up portion of the trunk. Drill horizontally through the bracket and the frame and bolt it to the frame. Then measure and drill thru the trunk floor directly over where the welded nut sits. Then simply bolt the belt thru the trunk floor to the nut welded to the bracket. If you're interested, let me know, will take some pictures.
There were 4 tabs already welded to my frame to accept the side belts and as for the submarine belt, I merely drilled thru the floor about an inch back from the front edge of the seats and just used 2 inch washers on both sides of the fiberglass. I don't think you could ever apply enough force to rip a 2 inch hole out of the glass with the submarine belt.

Lowell,

Also, the aluminum bezels were purchased from Finish Line.
