Default Good Price???

Hi, New to the site and presently not a Cobra owner...still doing my research. Question, Is $24,500 for a turn key minus engine and tranny a good price?? Includes 2-stage paint of my choice, brakes bleed, drive shaft once engine/tranny is installed, etc.... And also I have a set of Cobra 'R' Rims w/ tires, will they fit on a ShellValley...........Thanks...and sorry if this is a repetitive question..Mike

First of all you better explain to the guy selling it to you that....
minus engine and transmission does not =" TURN KEY"

now as for that price it does not seem exessive as long as the car (as in paint ,chassis and suspension components, fuel and brake lines ,guages ,wireing, interior) is all well presented and uses good quality parts. shell valley's when done right seem to be a good quality car. IMHOP.

Good luck and welcome to the obsession!

Turn Key "minus" is a term I've seen often, it does sound like an oxymoron. Often used to represent an SPF. Essentially a car that is "complete" just add engine and trans.

Depending on HOW the thing is paid for it could get REAL complicated trying to register a "turn key minus" car in Calif.

24.5 isn't a bad price.

I bought a used SVC last year for 23K in very good condition. I have spent about 5K since then upgrading it to my own taste with SVO Brakes, new 5spd trans, new coil-overs, roll bar .... The point is, you will spend money even after you get your engine and trans just customizing your car for you. In my opinion, money well worth it!! This helps me keep my sanity and takes my mind off of things that I need a break from. Cheap when you consider the cost of long term therapy. I would much rather spend a day under my Cobra than an hour on a couch telling someone my problems. My Cobra always listens to me and hardly ever talks back!!

$25,000 for my Shell. It has 350 miles on it. 302 Fuel Injected. New T-5. Has Corvette brakes, coilovers, 9 in Ford with 3.55 gears, etc. All parts new except rear end housing is refurbished.

Viper blue with GM silver stripes.

Hope this helps.
