Default VDO clock needed

OOPS! My VDO clock wasn't working so I took it out of the dash to see what was wrong. The previous owner had wired it backwards. After I changed the wires over, I got really proud of myself...just before I overtightened it putting it back in and cracked the case where it connects to the face.

Anyone have a VDO clock for sale?????

Thanks.

The good news is ... well, unfortunatly, there really is no good news. The clock is a discontinued item from VDO. We've tried every place we know of to try and find more clocks with no luck. It is possible that if you could find someone that deals VDO gauges, they might have one on the shelf. Otherwise, we have started using an oil temp gauge in place of the clock just to fill the extra hole in the dash.

Default Oil Pressure Gauge

The oil pressure gauge has peaked my interest. May kill two birds with one stone. Please see my email.

Still looking for a clock? I haven't checked the board for a while so I missed your post. I plan on re-doing all of my instruments sometime next year. But I'd be willing to take the clock out now & send it to you if you need it. I have an older S.V. and the VDO instruments are black with chrome rings. Would this be the right one?

Lemme know,

Tom

Default VDO Clock

The clock is working, but the case is cracked. I can wait if you will just keep me in mind when you get ready to redo your gauges. Yours would be the correct ones.

I am having trouble with my temp gauge giving me false readings right now. If I track it down to being the actual gauge that is bad, I may upgrade mine also. If not, I'll keep what I have, and would need the clock.

I should know more in a week or two as I have time to work on it.

Thanks for the reply.

Okay. If your temp gauge turns out to be bad AND you want to stick with the VDO's, I can send you my temp gauge also. Since "Next year" is only a few weeks away, maybe I'll jump into the upgrade sooner than later. In any event, I'll definitely send you the clock if you want.
