9" rear venting

My rear end is not vented (that sounds funny). Is this normal? Do I need to put a vent in? what will happen if I don't?

Absolutely it must be vented, there are many various ways to do it, this is they way I did mine.

Wow Rick, that is a huge vent.

I have the standard Ford vent that screws into the top. It is like 3/8 " Pipe thread, maybe 1/4".

After you put the fitting in, you run a two or three foot hose up, into the frame and put one of those "breather" ends on. I got the greather from GM.

Without it, worst is you will pop a seal due to pressure difference.
