Turn Indicator Spring

HELP!!!!

The spring slipped inside my turn signal indicator assembly; which I believe is from a VW, and came in my 2005 Shell Valley roadster. Anyone have a diagram of how it is supposed to sit in there? The signals still work but do not return to the off position after the turn is complete.

It won't say fixed , I have given up , yes its a VW it keeps moving and you can not hold it in place.
