Default Exhaust Silencer Daytona

Firstly I'd like to say hello to all. I'm from the UK and looking to buy a SV Daytona. Apart from our SVA testing I also need to look at silencing on the exhaust.
Iva attached a foto Ive seen of a silencer added to a FF Daytona and was wondering if any of you SV USA chaps had managed something similar?

Thanks Dale

Just a thought Dale, I know you guys in the UK have a test in SVA where the inspector runs a template or gauge over any protrusions on the exterior of the car, Will this apply to your sidepipes? In the pic you showed it appears that the LH header cross's over to exit on the RHS & vice versa. I am building a Daytona ( scratch build) here in NZ & intend to fabricate my side pipes in such fashion that they look like the original but are actually a loong Flowmaster type inside.

I think that the pipes from the header run formard and then do a "180" bend to fix onto the front edge of the silencer shown ... but its difficult to tell from the foto.
As for SVA ... as long as they dont protrude beyond the Perpendicular line of the bottom edge of the door they'll be ok (I think).
What are these "Flowmaster" pipes have you got any fotos or better still a link to manufacturer. I assume they make "specials" for cars like ours

Cheers D

Hi Dale,

I dont believe they make 'special's' for the likes of the Daytona. I use the same principle to make 'one-of' applications for various race cars that I build. The design is quite simple & effective for noise reduction without hurting performance. It would not be too difficult to fabricate sidepipes that look like the original and incorporate this design.
