Default An older SVC body (white)

I happened upon a SVC body that the guy is wanting to get rid of about 10 minutes from my house, and was wondering when SVC quit producing the Cobra body in white gelcoat. Seems most pics I see of them are now black bodies.

Another thing is I am sure they have made some changes to their chassis' over the years, and I am wondering if anything is different on the white bodies to make it not compatible with the current chassis configuration. I hate to bother Dana, and also thought it would be good to get some input from other SVC owners here on the board...not to mention I could find out earlier, as I am supposed to go look at the body early in the morning.

Do you know of any differences in the bodies, or they the same, or what?

Thanks for any help,
Greg

well, nevermind. It looks to be pretty old, and is cut into pieces! The doors are just skins with no inserts. Id still like to know how old it is, but im gonna pass.

Hi Greg,
My S/V car is a 1986 and it came in gray gelcoat with all inner panels attached. I have even earlier literature and none of them shoe anything like you describe. I doubt it is a S/V body.
Merry Christmas,
Byron

Thank you Byron, and I would have to agree. It looks like someone obtained a mold that gave up trying to figure out how to piece the various pieces of the mold together, and just laminated the mold piece by piece or something. The guy seemed like a nice guy, and I doubt he's trying to pull the wool over my eyes, but I think it happened to him. There is not even a cockpit or interior. I could have loaded the whole thing up in my little Toyota pickup. LOL I have no idea what it is, but it aint no Shell Valley. If things go right, maybe I can have Dana bring me a real SVC body to the LCS in June.

Interesting though, as i'd really like to know the story on it. The whole thing is just bizarre.

Thanks, and Merry Christmas to you as well.
Greg
