Just ordered a Shell Valley kit
Hey there all you Club Cobra folks!
After many years of dreaming and saving, I have finally ordered my Cobra kit! I have wanted one for a very long time, and after doing much research, I decided on the Shell Valley kit. I plan on putting a stroked 351W in it with a Tremec 5 speed. Not intending on it being a show car, however as the build goes that may change. I will be drag racing it at the least, possibly more later on.
Dana at Shell Valley really helped me out with my many questions and decisions, thanks Dana!
Not really much other then that I guess, just a hello from Wyoming!

Thanks guys! Appriciate the support!
I am really excited about this build, and cannot wait to have the project in my garage for sure!
I tend to take tons of photos of my projects, so expect to see a build thread on here starting in a month or two!

hotrodman76........from the looks of your serial number would that be Cobra #1 from the new owners of Shell Valley Costom Wheels? You would have a one of a kind ride there if it is.What options did you pick and are you comeing to Nebraska to pickup the car or are you haveing it delivered to you

rustyBob,
Yep, I think I am going to be the first! Hopefully the "one of a kind" will not be a bad thing!
Having it set up with Wilwood brakes, full Kevlar body, adjustable shocks, adjustable link arms, rear end narrowed by an addition 2 inches (for wider tires, drag racing), and dual rollbars.
Not planning on installing wipers, heater, visors, bumpers or windwings. At least not at first.
Planning on adapting some high back racing seats and 5 point harnesses, and sticking to a pretty basic interior.
I visited Shell Valley and Midstates back in '02 and really enjoyed talking to the guys out there. Since I live just over the border into Wyoming, I plan on visiting Shell Valley at least once before delivery, and will probably pick up the car when it is ready.

It's cool that you are close, i live 15 min. away from the shop but i got my car when Midstates was still in Hooper about 45 min. east of here. Sounds like you are looking at some serious horse power, planning on going somewhere in a hurry???LOL. With the new gen 2 car there will be plenty of room in there for highback seats and if you went with the dropped foot boxes there will be plenty of room for your feet to.Somebody had to be the first "THANK YOU" for giveing them a chance. they deserve it.

rustyBob,
I am planning a trip out that direction at the end of the month to check up on the progress of the kit. Would love to meet up with you if that's at all possible. PM me if you get the chance. Thanks!
