I made these for my BDR. They seem to work well for stopping the buffeting by it does increase the "at speed" noise. They are pretty easy to make. The wife likes them, it helps keep her hair from pushing foward around her face.
Make a pattern out of cardboard,
Cut the screen mesh (avail in most garden sections) about 1/4" smaller than the pattern.
Get some 1" nylon webbing (from REI),
Fold it in half over the edge of the screen add some velcro straps in key spots and sew.
Don't sew the bottom on all the way.
To make it keep its shape feed some weed-eater nylon cord inside the 1" web all the way around the around,
Now finish sewing on the bottom.
Cost about $15 for both
