Default brake pedal

started to get the cobra ready for the season and noticed my brake pedal travel longer than usual. went around the block and seems to require much more throw than before... car has been sitting for about ~5mths...

wondering or looking for suggestions...

couple of items:

1) checked the floor for leaks - none

2) checked the master cylinders (both) and fluid is up there at the usual limit

hoping its just either a function of building pressure or brake bleed and not replacement of the cylinder(s).

thanks,

R

if u pump it and it comes up, it is an internal leak in the MC.

CobraEd is on the money Roscoe, go no further; kit the master cylinder.

tried it again today and the same.... pumped several times and pedal did not come up; maybe need to bleed the brakes?

If you have floating calipers (non-opposing pistons), check that they are not frozen to the brackets.

It's still the master Roscoe, internal leak, bad cup seals. If it were OK you would get a firm pedal after a couple of strokes.
