Hi-temp paint query
My Unique FIA has a set of sidepipes with a black low gloss ( but not flat) finish which is looking a little tired. Does anyone have a suggestion for a hi temp enamel to put on it? I have found that VHT's 500 degree offering is far from adequate, and no one else seems to have any thing but flat black as a finish. Thanks.

Try POR's "Black Velvet" 1200 degree paint - economical and an excellent product.

The best thing I have found is high-temp grill (as in Bar-B-Q) paint. Comes in a few different colors and sticks good. I used it to paint my headers and after 2100 miles it still looks brand new. Best of all it is cheap.
