Pent-roof valve covers for 351W?
I recently saw a thread where someone referred to 427-style pentroof valve covers that would fit a 351W. I cannot find the thread, but wondered if there is such a thing.
Does anybody know where I could get a set of Pentroof valve covers for a 351W?

Are these the ones?
I believe you might have seen them on this thread in the "Cobras for Sale" section. I don't know where he got 'em, but they look rather nice.

alum. valve covers
Try giving Towers & Harwood Performance a call 785-537-4100
I'am pretty sure they have them. They are a ford only circle track parts and engine guys. I bought some items from them for my 351c a few years ago and one of the items was a tall roof valve cover to clear the stud girdle.
Good Luck

Thanks Keith and Lee.
I have decided to build a Coast High 427 Stroker. I figured valve covers like these with the 427 emblem would be the finishing touch.
I will give Towers and Harwood a call
Anyone else know any other sources?

Valve covers
I was wondering if there are pentroof valve covers available for a 460? I haven't been able to find any.

Brad, please let us know if in fact you do find a source for these valve covers. I too would like a pair for my 427 stroker.

I have purchased Holman Moody valve covers (pent roof) for a SB Ford directly from H-M. Pretty rare to see them on a Cobra and people are always asking where I got them.

Guys,
Look at the pictures of the valvecovers. you will note that they are F.E. covers because they have the F.E. bolt pattern, which leads to the conclusion that someone bought or had made adapter plates. I compared my F.E. valve cover size with my friend's 302 covers. It looks like they are very close in size.

Steve.....
Your conclusion is indeed correct. They are adapters. I e-mailed Mike (Sharkey) about them a few weeks ago. If I recall the valve covers are from Tony Branda @ $149. The adapters from Olthoff Racing @ $170 +/-. I plan on doing this over the Winter... or sooner! Mike sent me some close up shots of the set up. And it looks pretty good. Plus, the air cleaner looks to be a "repro" 289 HP unit.

Smiley,
Any chance of posting some photos of the setup for us? I'm thinking of doing the same thing.

Here's what they look like on my car
This picture is the best one I have considering the acceptable size that this website accepts. They do look good -- I took off the 427 cobra emblems --

Pent roof covers for 289-351w
There are aluminum, finned, pent roof valve covers that say "COBRA" on them that are a direct bolt on for 289, 302, 351w (and all strokers based on these of course) They look real nice polished. I don't know who makes them, but several of the cobras from House of Cobras sport them, so they can get them apparently. HOC's phone is (714) 639-8088 I don't know the price either.

Tall aluminium valve covers
I have a pair of tall finned aluminium "Cobra Powered by Ford" valve covers on my 351W. I bought them to clear my roller rockers. They come from Tony Branda. I think that they look very nice and they do clear the roller rockers, after a bit of grinding in a few spots on the inside.
Regards,
Wayne
