In tank fuel sock
I decided to replace the swinging rubber hose on the fuel pickup wthin the tank along with the other small lengths of rubber hose used throught out the line to the pump. They have all been in place quite a while and with the increasing amounts of Alcohol in the fuels of today I thought it would be prudent to check them because I recently found what appeared to be small pieces of rubber outside the filters on the tops of the Webers. I recently cleaned the Carbs and the rubber pieces reappeaered after a short drive and it made me begin to think a hose was breaking down. I opened the tank and the fuel was clean as was the tank itself and the hose did not appear to be compromised but I changed it anyway. I observed the sock on the end of the pickup hose in the tank had a 1" split in it. I will need to replace it. The only ones I have seen on the net are from ATL and OEM types. What are some of you using? What are your sources? Next I will replace the pump diaphragm.
Thanks
