Need assistance in finding bearing
I need some help in identifying a Ball Bearing or determinining the actual Ford part number for it. I am using it in my steering shaft assembly and the plastic cage separating the balls has fractured allowing the balls to move and creating excess clearance and loosness in the steering wheel.
It is a propritary bearing, consequently it is not available through normal bearing suppliers ( I tried today). The dimensions are 1.500" OD X 1.063" ID X .250" wide. It is used in the tilt wheel shaft mechanism for a Ford application. I do not know which one. I don't think this is a stocking item at most dealers, so attempting to match it will be a real effort. Is anyone here afiliated with a Ford dealer or have an ideal of how to identify it. There are no numbers on it anywhere. I'm stumped......
