clutch fork help

Putting fork in SB, Lakewood housing.
There is an angled fulrum that slips under a spring riveted to the fork. Does the angle face out or inboard? Anyone have a diagram or pic. Neither way seen right!

Niles, I just went through the same thing but with a Mcleod Scatter shield. The side that will make the fork closer to the shaft is how mine went.Flat side to inside near input shaft. I also needed to fabricate a 3/4" spacer to raise the pivot higher off the plate mount. The pivot has a rectangle hole in it to accomodate the spring clip right? Also what fork are using. I understand that the forks that are used with a clutch cable are different then the mechanical ones. If all else fails contact George at Gessford machine. He really knows his stuff. He sent me mine and it all bolted in fine. He also helped me clear up a starter shim problem that I had to install with that bellhousing. It needed to have a 5/16" spacer between the starter and housing. Don't know if you will need one or not.

Someone who actual trys to help; It's refreshing to hear from you. Most of the posts seem so be ether filler.
I tryed your solution; toward the shaft was definitly right; all I needed was a washer behind the clip to make it not bind. Trannie all mated tonight!

Your posts are not just filler! Some of us just haven't got to the point you are at either because we chose different methods or setup. Every question I read that I can add something postive I do. Others stimulate our thinking and offer insight into some of our future plans.

I probably didn't make my comment clear. I have asked many serious questions and have gotten no or opinion type comments, yet on any night there are hundreds of post many having nothing to do with the challenging task of building one of these things.
The people of the Forum seem much more responsive to building/technical questions.
