Default You don't HAVE to have a pump

You may not have to resort to a pump to get vacuum for your power brakes. When I put Webers on my Pantera, I made up a vacuum "collector" out of an old fuel log. I ran 1/8" steel lines to each port, and one large line to the connector for the power brakes. I never had any trouble with this set-up.

On my Cobra, I have an automatic trans, so I had to have vacuum for it. I plumbed lines from a couple intake ports to a metal cannister (actually an old "Never-Dull" can) hidden under the car. This is working well, too. For the brakes, I'd pull from all 8 ports, and use a cannister of some kind to store and "balance" the vacuum signal. It'll save weight and money over a pump-type system.

regards,

CobraJeff is right on the money. Use the individual ports (8) and it should provide enough vacuum. A lot of the GT-350's used this set up.

Tony T:

What are you using for etubes, jets, etc?
