Default Identifying my tremec

Can you guys help me id my tranny? the paper tag on it says tr 3550-2

is the dash 2 what makes it a TKO

The Tremec 3550 and TKO are the same except for the input and main shafts. The input will be GM fine spline and the output shaft is larger in diameter requiring the C6 style drive shaft yoke suplied with the transmission.

Hi Tim

Thanks for the help..I likely have what I expected, just that the tag threw a scare into me...I did have to buy the fine spline GM clutch and pressure plate from centreforce for my builder, who had supplied the tranny.
So I assume I have the TKO, which I was charged for.

26 spline input and 31 spline output! Plus you will need the McLeod adapter for the FE bell housing unless your builder shortened the input shaft....

Yes I got the adapter/spacer etc..The tranny is all in the car and it finally after 2 years came home early Dec. George and zderf you still have the same e-mail as I had sent you some pics of the car sent to me by my builder....hadn't seen much of you on the threads had me worried.
