wiring harness plug
I have a factory five 3.1 roadster with the ron francis wiring harness. I am in the process of redoing the wiring. I can not get the large connectors to the dash apart. I do not see a detent anywhere, but if you pull, you can see the connector start to slide til it hits something. I have tried sliding a screwdriver in between, but no good. Half of the connector is black and it slides into a clear side. I have worked with hundreds of different connectors at work, very frustrating. Any Ideas?

Can you post some good photos of the connector?

Hard to tell from the photo.
Looks like the black part down the middle locks into the clear female?

I would agree, I tried shoving a screw driver next to it, but to no avail.

woohoo!, I got them apart. After inspection, it was only a press fit. I had to scratch the heck out of them with a screwdriver, they were very tight.

I guess one of those things.
Once you know how, next time easy.
