Default BG Syncro Shift II ?

I've just heard about this stuff (BG Syncro Shift II) to replace the GM Syncromesh in the Tremec. This is supposed to be a very good lube and allows the Tremec to shift much, much smoother.

Anyone have any experience with it?

Thumbs up Synchromesh II

I got it and I am very happy with it. It is part number 792. The original Synchromesh was part number 790. I was running Red Line and have noticed some improvement in shifting my Tremec TKO.

It aint cheap, but it sure does work well.

Just my $0.02

A lot of people assume that all manual transmission use gear lube. Wrong!! Most all modern manual transmissions including Tremecs use ATF (automatic transmission fluid). Gear lube will make it shift very hard and f-up the syncros.

Default Manual trans fluids

Jeff,
You are correct that some modern manual trans use ATF, and a variety of other lubes. Synchroshift II is not gear lube. It is a manual trans lube that is specifically made for modern manual trans. It aint what I used to put in my M-22s and M-21s. Yeah I ran Chevy when I was a kid. Now I am all grown up (not), and run a Ford.

Jim:

You haven't grown up all the way yet. First you need to graduate to an FE motor.

I have one of those, but that just means midle aged. When you get old, then you get to have a GT40. I can't wait to get old (or rich).
