CSX 6000 cars with KMS Diff
How many guys here have a CSX 6000 series car with a Kirkham diff installed?
I am confident that the diff itself is very nice as I know Kirkham builds the best products in the world . I do however seriously doubt the installation of the breather tube by whoever in the hell installed it. Were they installed by Hi-tech in south Africa? (superformance)? I hope so... Because I have zero confidence in Hillbanks ability do do anything other than sell cars. (a topic for another rant). attached is the installation of mine. My car is brand new and I want to address this problem now before I drive it. It may be fine I dont know?

I can tell you that the, differential, axles and other Shelby specific components are installed after the Cora arrives in the United States. From your photos I can see that you have the stamped steel differential cover rather than the billet aluminum cover that is currently supplied with 6000 Series Cobras, that does not mean that you will not have an issue unfortunately.
I can also see that the axle shafts have Hillbank’s installers hardware of choice, you need to remove that hardware and replace it with hardware that is designed for that application. The left is an example of what V’s installs for Hillbank and the right is an example of what should be installed. Of note is the thread area on the fully threaded screw, notice how the threads are being damaged in the grip area. The threaded areas outside diameter is smaller than the holes diameter that it is fitted into which will allow the two flanges being bolted together to shift or slip in relationship to the two flanges.

This is where we source our hardware. The variety of sizes and grip length make proper sizing possible. My 289 has the Salisbury diff with the Spicer "plunge" halfshafts and we were able to source all of the needed sized with quality AN washers at Spruce. 7000+ miles and I just checked all of the hardware and all have held proper torque.
Plus the pricing is very reasonable for the small quantity and in fact is cheaper than grade 8 stuff from the local hardware store: https://www.aircraftspruce.com/menus/ha/bolts.html

Sorry,
Don't know what your car needs. Measure the parts and order what is required. We have not done a Kirkham MK III so all would be a guess on our part.
Some time spent measuring and figuring out what you need will be time well spent. Better a week late finished than hours on the side of the road.....

(16) AN7-12A Bolts
(32) AN960-720 washers
(16) AN365-720 nuts
