Question I need the electronic guru's

HI I am installing a new engine in my cobra and want to install a hour meter on the engine to record hours (only) while the engine actually is running .
any info would be great

I don't think these are exactly what you are looking for, but you might want to drop them a line with your needs. The guy is really nice and he may be able to modify one of his boxes for what you want.

A search for "engine hour meter" brings up many. Boats use them a lot so you could even look at marine sites.

I would guess connecting it would only need a switched +12v that you could most likely tap into somewhere on the car.

can a relay be wired into a oil pressure sensor to turn on power for the hour meter ?

Any “key-on” power source. Ignition key might be the easiest.
