Oil pressure loss at '99 Run & Gun?
Does anyone remember the gentleman (and his young boy) at the '99 Run & Gun that lost oil pressure? I believe it was a F5 but it was definately a 5.0 liter engine. He dropped the oil pan and we found small metal pellets. No one could figure out where these came from but we all suspected the oil filter. One had got sucked into the oil pump and locked it up.
I was tearing down a 5.0 out of a truck and found where these pellets came from!! They are embedded in the cork gaskets as crush limiters. If anyone remembers who this guy was, please pass this along. |
