Default Help needed with loose shaft in column

The steering wheel moves in all directions with in the steering column on my early 90's vintage Unique. The column itself does not move. Any one fix a similar problem and have some advice. I will not replace the column unless this can not be fixed.

Thanks

Some columns have replacable bushings at each end. Start by determing what car the column came out of. Then check a repair manual. If you can't determine what make of car it came out of look for a company that sell bearings & bushings. Take the column with you. Also, measure the dia. of the steering shaft before you go.
Hope this helps..

I found that standard-sized industrial ball bearings were a perfect slip fit inside my Midstates' [Ford truck] column to replace the original nylon bushings for a smoother feel. You might take your housing to the local industrial supply and see if they have a 3/4" bearing to fit it.
