Cobra V10?
I currently own a '01 Prowler and within the last week took delivery of a new Dodge Viper GTS. Now I am seriously setting about to acquire my next dream car, a Cobra. My original intention was to get a turnkey 427. However, Dodge has Viper V10 crate engines available. I'm wondering if anyone has tried this engine installation, or whether it will even fit. I would be using a six-speed trans also from Dodge. Thanks for any info you may have.

Ed Combs has done this at least twice once for Ed and for a customer. Come to London Ohio in June for the Double Venum Spring Fling and meet Ed and he will build one for you. See you in June.

I agree with the others - Ed's the man to see for this project! Make sure you get to the Spring Fling in Ohio in June to see his own Viper powered Cobra in action on the dragstrip. Oh, and I suppose the paint's been prety well applied too....

Foowowee,
The pipes are there. On both of the DV's shown, the pipes are black powder coated - owners choice. The Chromalusion Purple one has a special TNT built Viper motor...640 RWHP It is this Cobra that we are hoping to break the land speed record for Cobras! Present record, as far as we can find is 187, we're shooting for 205/210 this summer. (That's the reason for the Viper look alike nacaduct and the reversed hood scoop)
YES, this DV II will be joining us at the Drags...wanna race?
DV
200 Cobras is NOT enough for the DVSF II !

Just wondering what kind of times the Cobra/Viper turns.
It might be fun to put your V10 up against my V6. So far the 6 has done 10.8 (gasless) but I think it will go a little faster before needing a "bottle".
Your conversion looks really nicely done. Congrats and good luck on the LSR...
Take a look at "view my picture gallery" for a size comparison. Its 274"...
Regards,
