Good source for Girling???
I have an '88 Contemporary and need a new clutch slave cylinder. The manual specifies a Girling part #64967010. I am having trouble getting one locally..
Does anyone know a good source for Girling?? (Does anyone know of a good direct replacement?? (I'm guessing the Master Cylinder will be next if I do not rebuild it now)

call the Neal co. in San Diego. they have repalacement gurling parts. I don't have their number, but you can call Unique Motorcars. They use all neal pedals on their cars.

Try Racer's Wholesale. Best price I found a Girling master cylinder for my clutch.

Thanks a million guys.. Anyone got a phone number. I have tried the most common URL's for both these companies and niether seem to be on the web. I will call information in San Diego on Monday for The Neal Company.. Anyone know where Racer's Whosale is located, or a number for either??

Thanks John,
I searched the club pretty well, I do not know if I hit the links you specify. I got CNC's number from one of the threads.. I am hoping the guy that built my car (not me) used the girling unit called for in the build manual, if so a cross reference is easy.
I understand the CNC unit is superior from what I have read and am interested in getting one. I am going to confirm the part used and call CNC, but in the mean time I will search the links you provided..

GIRLING MASTER CYLINDER 4 sale
If you need a master cylinder I have 2 of them. I don't remember what size they are off the top of my head. I was going to auction them off at DVSFII (along with tons of other stuff), but if anyone can't wait 'till then just e-mail me.

Actually the Master Cylinder seems fine (for now) The principal reason I was not just going to put a slave cylinder rebuild kit in was that the exposure the slave gets to road grime and contamination is pretty great. Also, this slave did not have a dust boot at the piston end and is likely pretty torn up inside.. That, along with the cost of a new slave cylinder being about $60 makes the decision easy.. BUT READ ON..
The reason I cannot find a Girling slave cylinder like mine is because the guy that built my car didn't use the Girling part at all (thank you Don) he used a replica.. lol.. ok, not really.. He likely, like me, couldn't get a Girling unit locally (before the internet) and used some Chevy unit, which explaines how a Girling slave cylinder has gone 20k miles just inches from the exhaust header of a 450 hp Ford FE... (thanks again Don.. I think)
So.. What to do.. The CNC unit is great.. It is only $60. The folks there are awesome on the phone. I think if I can get theirs to line up I will buy it.. The bore is stainless steel, it has a 1.125" push, it has an .875" bore (which will make the clutch easier to push by almost 20% over a .750" Girling, or any other similar unit and replacement parts are cheap, $20 for a slave kit (and being stainless you should be able to rebuild it several times.. but you probably will not need to)
OR.. I could send "Don" $120 and he will send me a replacement he calls "better" than the one I have. Hey it includes a new bracket.. I suspect a trip to Pep Boys may yield a direct replacement, if not I will build a billet aluminum bracket for my new CNC unit...
Thanks for all the good info. I suspect a year from now this will save some poor slob a ton of searching for a similar "Girling Slave Cylinder"
