Default Adjustable Koni shock settings

Can anyone recommend a good initial setting for my new adjustable Konis? As the shocks have to be removed from car and I'm assuming the springs have to come off the shocks, I'd like to do this just once. The car is a small block Unique with a Jag XJ rear end. I'd like a firm, but not rock hard ride.

Check out page 117 of the ERA assembly manual for hints.

Unfortunately those instructions are for the double adjustable racing dampers. If you are using a street damper, Koni recommends dead soft or one "click" harder for street cars. The adjustment is mainly to compensate for wear.

If they are the single (damping) adjustable racing dampers, you can use the instructions given for the Spax type - if you are willing to take 'em off to adjust.
